What Babur did...

I grew up watching Ramayan and Mahabharat in TV... In my village, there were a few TV's and whole village use to assemble there. The TV owners never complained. How many of us know our neighbours today?. Thats apart and may be sometime later.. Coming to Ramayan, watching it every sunday morning was the best thing ever happend to me those days. If we were to miss an episode for some reason (mostly electricity), I would be so disappointed that I used to talk about it for days. It is just about a decade back story I am saying here.
Before that for an earlier generation than mine, there use to be 'Hari Kathe' programms arranged for some occasions in the village. Even there main stories use to Ramanyan or Mahabharat.
We have it in our blood. The stories (whether or not they are real or Krishna or Rama even existed..) are the ones we belived in. Those stories were a way for us to know our value system.
I also distinctly remember the Ram Janma Bhumi movement in 1992. I was hardly 9 years old that time. Whole village waited for a day to recieve the 'Rath' carrying the bricks for Ram Temple. It was suppose to reach there by afternoon 3:00 itself. It finally came in the night 10:00 PM. We did not even go for our evening play that time.. (yeah, it was a big thing to miss a day's play :) ).  I still remember the 'Shree Ram' written on those bricks. People offered puja for the bricks.

And then insted of building a temple, Babri masjid was torn down. Even a group of people went from my village to do 'Kar Seva' at Ayodhya. I come from a village which is 300 km from Bangalore and I am sure, most of us in the village had not seen even Bangalore that time. What made people to go to Ayodhya ?. In south India, that too my part of the place Ram is not that popular as he is in north India. I have not seen a temple in nearby places of Ram. Still people went.
We connect with Ram. We belive that he is God and he was born on the banks of Sarayu River in Ayodhya.
Archeological Survey of India has found that there was a temple like structure in the disputed site ageing first millennium BC. (if you want to read about the report of ASI digging the site, please click here). Hindu's offered puja to Ram at this believed to be Birthplace for first millennium BC till 1527 AD when Babur came and destroyed the temple and built a Mosque.
Why do you think Babur wanted to build a mosque there ?. Almost whole of Bharat was his. He had ample of sites where he could have built a mosque. He built it there to destory the faith of Hindu's. To tell Hindu's that what a weak God you have and atleast seeing that you become a Muslim. It was not just at Ayodhya this happend, its the same story of Kashi, Mathura etc.
Anyway, all this I had to say because a thought came to me this morning. The place is of importance for Hindu's but does it matter for Muslim's to have a mosque right there today ?. I am not sure.. thats for you to think about.

Please resign Mr.CM

There is one single solution to all the following problems and many more.
1. There is too much rain in Bangalore.
2. Too much pollution in Bangalore.
3. One of the cabinate minister does something..(Suprise!!.. do they do anything ??? )
4. Other cabinate minister does not do anything (Now its common :) )
5. Beggar's death in Bangalore.

Solution : Resign Mr.CM

Its not my invention. This is what out oppositon parties are  doing these days. Irrespective of center (may be it is required there) or in states. Sometime I wonder, how come CM resignation be a solution for all such problems.  Can CM resign today and we do not have these problems tomorrow ??. Why are opposition parties not playing a constructive role and adivce the governament in what is right or what is wrong.
These days it has become too easy for somebody to make Governament fall or if you have right money power to sustain in ruling. Its a total mockery of democracy. Once the elections are done, why cant these people live with the idea that next five years, they should build the party constructively.  Everybody is playing, I show him down so I shine rule here. Rather put efforts into constructive building of the party. Support governament in its good acts and question them on their bad acts.
We are watching..and we have become clever. Its not the same old state today which had hardly any literacy rates. We are better educated. We are much younger as a nation.
We know for the daily problems we face and what can be fixed and what can not be. In Karnataka what we see everyday in the newspapaers is that somebody asking CM to resign for something or the other. I myself am bugged, how would Mr.CM sit and work (?) properly.
Its important for the parties to accept the verdict afetr the elections and do image make over constructively. Please stop 'I show you down....' play and do not make a mockery of democracy any more.

'Beggar' Mean business - Heights of corrupt bureaucracy

From last couple of weeks watching this news flow in Karnataka reagarding the Beggar rehabilitation center. The news started with 20+ beggars death in a matter of couple of days. This opened up a true 'Karma Kanda' which would make any human being ashamed off. But our bureaucrats..... Its a differnt league I must say..
The living condition at the beggar rehabilitation center in Bangalore is pathetic, they are not served with proper food, medicine, a place to sleep or even proper water to drink. The mentally disabled people were also treated very badly and they were even allowed to drink 'gutter water'.. I can go on and on with this..

Our 'governament servants' went one step ahead and they stole, food, money from these inhabitants.. :). The inhabitants who work in the garden (?) were to be paid Rs 10 per day. (sorry I dont know how to type the new Rupee symbol in my German Keyboard). Our Governament Servants paid less or no amount but they pocketed it..Thats why I said they stole from 'beggars'. Its not only the money. Governament provides Rs 45 a day for food per inhabitant. Yeah Yeah.. You guessed it right.. again the 'servants' pocketted money. After seeing some of the inhabitants in the TV channel, the family members came to visit them. The Governament Servants asked Bribe from the visitors.. Who are beggars.. The inhabitants or the offcials there?

The Minister responsible was not even aware that some 26 inhabitants died in a matter of days. He says Beggars dying is very common. I must agree.. He could be a philospher... not a minister responsible for well being of the inhabitants.
There is one more dangerous angle to it. Many inhabitants were forcefully brought into the Beggar rehabilitation center eventhough they were not beggars !!!. The center which could hold some 750 people was housing around 2500. They do not even had space to hold people there, still our servants forcefully brought in non beggers. Female inhabitants were sexually abused. There is a possibility of even organ traders linked into all these. There is not even a ledger of people living in the center. which means if you do not know the people who are living in, you do not know who died too.
At this point in time, its very unclear of all the loose ends in this issue. Its on Mr.CM to setup an enquiry on the whole issue and bring in contorls, checks and good administration. The people who are involved in this shameful act need to be punished..

At last I am getting this feeling.. When you are looking at misery of people, how would you want to steal from them?? What is the frame of mind of a person who does this?..

Tainted media.. save yourself from NDTV

The media bashing of RSS and BJP are at an all time high. I never expected that even a minor (?) incident like this would be used against RSS and BJP. Yes, I am referreing to the same Burkha Dutt's NDTV  tweeking one more news bit. This ones related to 'Kerala Man's hand cut off for taking on eve teasers'.
Good job by Prathap Simha, @Centerofright and others like Kiran , Sudhir who opened our eyes to one more of such incident.

A national media like NDTV doing this is a shame. I stopped visiting NDTV, CNN-IBN  web sites long back. I think thats a bit we can do against them.

Sometimes I wonder can anyone start a movement against such people and not look into the TV channels or websites of these tainted media gaints. Or insted of waiting should I start the movement ???
